SG350 with 2.5.x firmware causes SIGSEVG -- incompatible?

I run a Cisco SG350 switch (among a few others) at home. I have the 2.4.0.94 firmware installed, which comes from a file named image_tesla_hybrid_2.4.0.94.bin. This firmware works fine.

I've been trying to upgrade to the 2.5.x releases. Curiously, that download has a slightly different name: image_tesla_cbs350_hybrid_2.5.7.85_release_cisco_signed.bin

After the upgrade, the switch starts up and runs just fine for about 5 minutes. At that point, it'll restart. The system log indicates a seg fault:

%SYSLOG-F-OSFATAL: caught segmentation fault exception at address (nil) signal-num = 11 (SIGSEGV) signal-code = 1 (SEGV_MAPERR) reg[00] = 0xfffffff8 reg [01] = 0x0 reg[02] = 0x27 reg[03] = 0x5 reg[04] = 0x0 reg[05] = 0x0 reg[06] = 0x27 reg[07] = 0xa875dc94 reg[08] = 0xc reg[09] = 0xa875dc94 reg[10] = 0x b692738c FP = 0x72efd918 IP = 0xffffffff SP = 0x72efa948 LR = 0xb5358fdc PC = 0xb44baee4 CPSR = 0x60010030 Fault Address = 0x0 Trap no = 0xe Err Code = 0x15 Old Mask = 0x0 ***** FATAL ERROR ***** Reporting Task: PNPA. Software Version: 2.5.0.83 (date Jun 18 2019 time 16:44:23) base_address=0xb46b8000

Once I roll back to the 2.4 firmware, I'm fine ... though I'm missing some security updates. To rollback, I have to quickly (like a bunny) log in and select the next boot filename before the device crashes and restarts again.

Am I doing the upgrade incorrectly? Why can't my switch run the 2.5.x firmware?

 - Something you may try ; save configuration to 'external repository'  ; factory reset -> upgrade -> restore configuration.

                      Check if that can help.
