SG550 - how to make the device traceroute invisible

Hi all,

can somebody please advise how to configure the SG500 to be invisible to traceroutes?
I do have InterVLAN routing enabled on this device and don´t want the device to be visible in traceroutes from one vlan into another.

I´ve played around with ACLs and also with DoS icmp blocking but I did not get the result I wanted ...

Hello Thomas,

Traceroute counts next hops/devices on Layer 3 so the only way to have the SG500 device invisible to the traceroute report is to have it configured in Layer 2 mode. Hope this helps.
