SRW2048 unable to console in

So I decided to purchase a SRW2048 for a switch and now that I have it the previous owner must of had changed up the port and web gui ip since i cannot console in

I use Hyper Terminal with these settings

 

Bits per second : 38400
Data bits: 8 
Parity: None
Stop Bits : 1
Flow control : None
 
And I still get nothing

Right, you bought a null modem cable wich is common, but according to the thread I linked to you will need a straight cable to console into this switch.

Hi Victor, you probably need to find or make a different cable than you are used to.  See here:

That did the trick and now when I connect to console I can see everything! :)
