Hi All,

Have you ever seen below message on SG500 switch before ?

Jul 12 04:21:18 atviesw01 1 2016-07-12T02:21:17Z atviesw01 SYSLOG - OSFATAL - %S
YSLOG-F-OSFATAL: FATAL ERROR: GOAH: ABORT DATA exception ***** FATAL ER
ROR ***** SW Version : 1.4.5.02 Version Date: 20-Apr-2016 Version Time: 12:24:28 Instruction 0x7F8434 Exception vector 0x10 Program state register 0x60000013 0x007f83dc 0x0023e74c 0x0023e954 0x00246624 0x00248118 0x002481f8 0x0024851c 0x00248c18 0x002497e8 0x0024990c 0x0024cf64 0x001223f0

Actually we have migrated a office from a MPLS provider to new MPLS provider.

Then we have renewed the older switch with SG500 as well.

As the last step, I wanted to check all devices in this office and ran NMAP to entire IP range for this office.

Then switch crashed with above error message.

atviesw01#sh ver

Unit SW version Boot version HW version
------------------- ------------------- ------------------- -------------------
1 1.4.5.02 1.4.0.02 V03

atviesw01#

Is this normal behavior ?

The interface configuration where I ran NMAP is quite simple ...

atviesw01#sh run int gi1/1/12
interface gigabitethernet1/1/12
no negotiation
description "Virtual Machine"
switchport trunk native vlan 989
!

Please help ..

It is most likely to be a software defect.  Is the firmware up to date?

Thanks Philip,

Yep, as far as I can see at cisco.com, I'm using the latest version of boot code and firmware version..

I am having the same exact problem with SG300 switches.

The following nmap command will cause any switch running 1.4.5.02 to crash.

nmap -sS -T3 -A -F

We have some switches running 1.3.0.62 which appear unaffected.
