Upgrade Firmware Cisco Switch SG500X-48P

I've got a Cisco Switch SG500X-48P

and I download the firmware updates from the cisco web, the download is a .zip file with .ros and .rfb file inside.

So when i tried to upgrade the firmware send me the error "Copy: Illegal software format"

I tried to upgrade with the .ros, .rfb and the zip file but it doesn't work.

Can anybody help me to upgrade the firmware or tellme what it's te image file extension.

I ran into this problem yesterday. What I had to do was do incremental updates, IE update each released update one by one. I had to go through (from memory) 1.27,1.30, 1,33, 1.35, 1.40. Seems a bit silly, but that's what I had to do. Note that you should upgrade the bootcode first. I installed the latest bootcode before I did any firmware updates.
