Multiple incoming calls in a SPA514G

Good morning everyone,

I have a problem and I'm not sure how to solve it. I try to explain.
I have a UC540 with severals SPA514G and everything works fine.

Now we have added a sip trunk in the UC540 and it also works well but the problem
is as follows, the sip tunk has 6 channels, so 6 calls can enter simultaneously in
the worst case. Well, the problem is that the SPA514 only allows 2 calls per line
and if there is a third one, it appears that the line is busy.

As I said, I only setup one of the 4 possible lines configured, and I can not
assign the same extension in the 4 four lines.

Can someone help me on how to get more calls in an SPA514G IP phone simultaneously?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hello again,
I think that I have found a solution.
When I register a line of my SPA514G in my UC540, there is a opcion to forward call to another extension if the line is busy.
Therefore, I will register the four line of my SPA514G, 210, 211, 212 and 213. Each line support 2 calls as maximun.
If there is a incoming call, I forward call always to extension 210, but if the line is busy, I will setup the option "Call forward busy: " to extension 211.
If I use this filosofy, my SPA514G could receive incoming calls up to 8 as maximun.

For me, it is a good solution. isn't it?

Thank you.

Go to the phone web page:

http://IPADDRESS/admin/advanced

Now go to Voice->Phone->Miscellaneous Line Key Settings->Call Appearance Per Line

Set this from 2 to 10 or whatever number suits for your purpose.

After this the phone will be able to handle more than 2 calls.

Thanks.
