Outbound Dial-Peer selection based on internal DN

We have a CME system (UC560) and use SIP to our ITSP and we recently integrated a few phones in another office onto the system, this office is based in a different town.

The local number dial-peer for the main office DN's has a translation rule that adds on the local area code using a translation rule and that works fine.

But would like users in the other office to be able to dial their 6 digit local number and the system add the users area code based on their extension number. All the DN's in the new office are 401 to 415 and we have tried using the answer-address 4.. in a dial-peer along with a translation rule and the destination-pattern as we only want the translation rule to add the users local area code prefix on the local 6 digit dial-peer. But it is not working correctly as when users in the main office dial a local number starting with 40xxxxx it selects the wrong dial-peer and add the area code for the remote office. We have also tried using the incoming-number 4.. command but that fails as well.

Can anyone point us in the right direction?

What phones are you using on the CME ? SCCP/SIP ? Have you tried adding the translation to the voice register dn/ephone-dn instead ?

Hi Nipun

They are all SCCP phones. Not sure we can add the translation to the ephone-dn as wouldn't it prefix the area code on all external calls, so it would prefix the area code on national numbers that already have an area code.

We are only trying to prefix the local area code on local 6 digit numbers as we are using SIP through an ITSP and all outgoing called numbers have to have the area code.

At the moment we have a dial-peer with destination-pattern 9[2-9]..... that has a translation profile that prefixes 01262 which is the local area code for the main office. The remote office has an area code of 01723 and we would like to prefix this area code to local numbers called from the remote office extensions which all start 4xx
