Can an ap541n be configured to act as a dhcp server and hand out dhcp IP addresses to wireless pc'ss?

We have an ap541n-a-k9 wireless unit.  When a user connects thru the wireless device into our network the laptop grabs a DHCP IP address from our intranal DHCP server.  However, we are running out of IPs.  Can the ap541n unit be configured to act as a DHCP server and hand out DHCP IP's of its own? if so, how?

thanks in advance

Hello,

The AP541 is just an access point, and does not function as a DHCP server.  You may be able to setup a second VLAN if your router supports it and then create a second DHCP pool for it, giving you more addresses.  You can also look into expanding your DHCP scope to something larger so there are more addresses available.

Hope that helps,
