You should be able to use WAP150 as a Repeater using the WDS Feature (Wireless distribution system)

The bleow mentioned doc & link is for WAP321 & 121 but the same should work for 150 as well as it supports WDS

I m sorry I didn't provide more details. In the documentation it is mentioned that it can work only with wap150/wap361 device. I try to connect with Cisco/Linksys E4200 and E4500.

May be you can use the Work group bridge option

Please refer the Cisco TAC reply on other thread

"Hi, My name is Eric Moyers. I am a Network Support Engineer in the Cisco Small Business Support Center. Thank you for using the Cisco Community Post Forums.

Currently the only supported configuration is with the WAP321 connecting with another WAP321 in order to use WDS. Within Work Group bridge it is possible to connect with non-cisco devices."

Thank you all for the responses.

I would like to extend the coverage of the WAP150 - what device would be the most suitable one for this?

WAP361- do you think this would do the job?

Thanks.

WAP150/WAP361 should be good enough.

WAP150 would be the value for money option as a power adaptor comes in the box.

If you're planning to use it as a repeater using the WDS feature, 150 would be the ideal choice.

For WAP361 you need to purchase adaptor / power Injector ( POE+, 30Watts) seperately.

WAP361 has 4 bulit in Gig ethernet ports and one of them supports POE out-  may be useful for future expansion.

Since the max power requirement for WAP150  is 9.5 watts, you should be able to use 361 as POE source for another WAP -  ( You must use POE+ class switch / Power Injector for 361 though)

Cisco power injector : SB-PWR-INJ2-xx
