How to change Inventory name?

Hello colleagues,

I have installed one CSPC that is collecting network info from 3 different countries. All info was uploaded to Portal and I can see that everything is OK in the same Inventary.

I have two questions now:

1- Is there any way to change the Inventory name from Portal without affecting all the info already uploaded to Cisco DC?

2- I want to create an Inventory name for each country using the SAME CSPC collector. Is it possible to do that? How?

Hi Juan,

There isn't a mechanism to change the inventory name.  However, based on your 2nd question, I'm going to suggest you consider the segmentation feature within the portal.  Segments are created by you based on "rules/patterns -- based on device attributes such as IP Address and Hostname". As you might imagine, the segments are a "subset" of an inventory and the content of the segment is based on the rules/patterns.  For your need, consider creating/defining a segment for each country/region.
