Inventory in SNTC portal shows a lot more devices than CSPC appliance

We have a new CSPC appliance we are using to run scheduled collection and uploads to the SNTC portal. We deleted out the inventory in the portal, verified it was cleared, created a new discovery/upload job and saw it completed successfully. The CSPC show 7 devices, but when we go to the portal, we can see over hundreds of devices. When you drill down into it, the 7 new devices are there, but its still showing all the older data that was deleted. We tried changing the view to 'Latest View' under the report settings as well but the same result.

Instead of messing with that inventory, we now just re-registered the CSPC to a new inventory and tried to upload the data again, but now it looks like its stuck (been running about 1 hour, usually takes 5 minutes). Is this the best way to create a new, fresh inventory so we dont see old data in there that was manually uploaded in the past? Also how long should we wait for the upload?

Thanks!

Hello,

Device data that has been cleared from the Portal will reappear if you send a new upload from the original CSPC ID and Inventory name. You can view these results by looking at Inventory Deletion -> Actions -> Inventory Restored With New Collection reports. To not see this older data, you will want to generate a new CSPC ID and Inventory name.

Upload processing times can vary depending on number of devices and current load.

Thank you,
Jarrett
