upload inventory for the ODC/remote devices

There is an ask from my customer to come up with a portal/macro that will collect the data from the ODC-offshore DC devices that are not been discovered by the CSPC collector.

The end user would just collect a set of cli like

show module

show inventory

and upload it to a portal this portal would in turn create a seed file or a CSV inventory file out of it.

Hi Darshan,

Functionality like that doesn't currently exist to do all of that automatically. You can collect those CLI by configuring an SSH credential on the collector, and they will be uploaded to the portal, but nothing else is done at that point. You would need to open a case and then file for an enhancement request.

Hi Lynden,

The point here is these devices are not discoverable since they belong to the ODC and as part of the process they are not configured with any SNMP community as well.but since these devices are under a valid active contract we need these devices to be displayed in the SNTC/CSPC inventory.

You can import those device into the portal with the File Import feature:
