admin password recovery

I upgraded to 2.7 yesterday. I was prompted for multiple password changes for admin, got caught with "too similar" password, and somehow in the process, the admin password (CLI) is no longer valid.

When I upgraded to 2.6.1 several months ago (less than 180 days) I recorded the root and collectorlogin passwords, but they don't seem to work.

What are my options for recovery?

SNTC is running on a VM.

Thanks.

Hello,

Unfortunately there are no methods yet to recover the CLI passwords.

Can you please share with us a screenshot of the error messages you are seeing?

In addition, have you tried to login via console rather than just ssh?

Please try console access with all three users: admin, collectorlogin, root and see if you receive the same error.

Regards,

Cesar

It seems not to make a difference from either ssh or the console.

The only user that can login is the collectorlogin.

the error message for either admin or root is:

Account locked due to 15 failed logins
Password:

each time the failed login number increments for root or admin.

Are there any other options?

thank you
