CLI password updated - CLI now fails

After updating the CLI password on CSPC the CLI now fails after login.

I have seen posts suggesting that rebooting the server could brick the device. Is there any suggestions that will get the CLI working again?

What users from CLI you have updated?  collectorlogin, root or admin?  and how you updated ?

it was the admin account password.

it was updated when the first attempt to log in we were prompted to update the password due to it being expired.

The new password works - but the next bit of output comes up, but the window closes immediately and I cannot read what that output is.

Do you have the collectorlogin and root passwords? The admin user is actually part of a Java shell it is not a full Linux Shell and it is not the same authentication as the GUI as well, it may have work and it may have not worked . but it is likely not up and having a java crash.  to troubleshoot we would need to connect to the user collectorlogin and then su (switch user command) to root.  If you do have those passwords we can try to troubleshoot.
