Contract management without SNMP enabled devices

Hello all

I am trying to find out how well the portal works for a global client when they dont yet have SNMP enabled on their devices. So all we look to provide until the network is enabled is contract management for install base and other information.

Has anyone successfully used the portal for such as a task or is SNMP a pre-requisite?

Hello Darren,

SNTC using the CSPC collector will give you the most rich device information. Whilst you are enabling SNMP you can get started with the contract management  by uploading your installed base using the .CSV File Upload feature.  This will give you all the IB and contract information linked to the given serial number. You can create the .CSV file by using the My Devices tool  (https://cway.cisco.com/mydevices/myDeviceHelp?tab=support) . My Devices also enables you to see contract information and can be used to create the .CSV file by successfully matching the serial number to the Cisco PID.
