Does SNTC portal RBAC associate specific users with contracts

Hello,

I have not gotten a clear answer on this. The portal is a great help with Service Coverage Management specifically around vidibility, and I know that the admin can create role based access control to allow specific users visibility to specific subsets of gear. However, what I haven't ever seen spelled out is this: When an Admin adds a user to the SNTC portal, is that user CCO associated with the contracts in the portal? Meaning can that user call TAC to open a case? Or do we still need to reach out to web-help@cisco.com to associate that user with specific contracts.

Due to this, many customers have an email alias CCO, like CiscoContracts@whateverco.com and associate that CCO with all of their contracts. That is the CCO that is used to open cases. Many of my customers would like to get rid of that general work around and have the security of knowing that a user can be added to SNTC portal, open cases as needed, and then if that user leaves the company that access can be revoked.

Hello Jonathan,

The SNTC Portal reflects the Cisco contract status of a given device.  It does not enable or grant entitlement to use the contract to open TAC cases. The CCO User will still need to link the contract to their CCO User id - https://rpfa.cloudapps.cisco.com/rpfa/profile/edit_entitlement.do?Tab=3

Any chance we can submit that as a feature request? It would fit nicely with the RBAC so that if an individual user was granted visibility to contracts , or subset of contracts there could be the option of adding entitlement to open TAC cases.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Yes the team can look into that. It is quite complex given the way the contracts are linked in SNTC but we can look to see if we can resolve some of the challenges maintaining contract / TAC access.
