Any idea how to fix this?

I ran an update to 2.7.3, but cannot check the status.

admin# check update
Error occurred while fetching the information from databsae.
Please check the adminshell logs for more details.

This also shows an error in the GUI when looking at the software update status.

And before you ask, no that is not a typo. The message was cut and pasted from the CLI output.

admin# show version
Build-name : Collection Platform Software 2.7.3

admin# show update history

Hi User,

With 2.7.3, collector will not have any further update for software. So output will not give you any result. Do you have 'conf server enable' on collector? Please check with 'conf server enable' command. Couple of things that we can check for successful upload is following ports and ip addresses should be allowed to communicate with servers.  Do you have any concern/issue with upload?

Your Firewall must be configured in order to allow these IP addresses, host names, and ports so that the upload processes successfully:

    • 72.163.7.113 (TCP 443) concsoweb-prd.cisco.com
    • 72.163.4.161 (TCP 443/80) www.cisco.com
    • 72.163.7.60 (TCP 443/80) dl.cisco.com
    • 72.163.7.60 (TCP 443/80) dl1.cisco.com
    • 173.37.146.12 (TCP 443/80) dl2.cisco.com
    • 173.37.144.208 (TCP 443/80) sso.cisco.com

Thanks,

Supriya

Hi,

Uploads are working fine, this appears to be an issue on the collector device.

Can you explain what you mean by "With 2.7.3, collector will not have any further update for software"? What is going to happen in the future if there are no updates for this?

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Richard,

Sorry that it was not clear. What I mean is as of now, latest version for CSPC collector is 2.7.3. So, 'check update' command will give you something like this with 2.7.3 as of now - no further update available for given version. I would request you to try restarting collector and see if error goes away.

Thanks,
Supriya
