SNTC portal description, location or notes fields per device? Custom manual descriptions?

What are the options for the SNTC service to add in comment or note fields for devices in the portal? Is there any customization or description area the customer can use to manually enter information for devices? What about adding in location or other asset tag information customer uses with another system?  Are there any options to collect location information or to manually added it?

Hi Brian,

I have divided the questions to reply you more appropriately  :

What are the options for the SNTC service to add in comment or note fields for devices in the portal? [Answerer] – You can provide comments in some of the reports available in SNTC UI : Like – Alert management, Service coverage report , for more information please look into the user guide :  https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/12566066/smart-net-total-care-portal-user-guide

Is there any customization or description area the customer can use to manually enter information for devices? [ Answerer] – As of now we don’t have this feature on the SNTC UI , but you can use above reports to provide description based on the requirement .

What about adding in location or other asset tag information customer uses with another system?  [Answerer ] Could you please clarify this point may be with an example .

Are there any options to collect location information or to manually added it? [Answerer] – If this query is related to adding SNMP location name then yes , by providing the information during CSV file upload (Please refer above mentioned user guide link for CSV file upload feature) , you can add the SNMP location name , though it’s an optional field .

Regards

Pamela
