Pushing changes by DNAC

Hi Folks

Does deleting the VNs and IP Pools associated to it from DNAC will remove related configuration from all devices ?

How can we check what commands will be pushed to devices before DNAC start applying changes ? Is there a preview of commands ?

Nop. DNAC will change device configuration only if you activily provision the device.

You could see using TACACS accounting logs.   Yes, there´s a preview but as I said, you need to start the process of provisioning the device.

@Flavio Miranda

You are saying I should first the delete VN and Pool, and provision the device ( even if already provisioned and managed). Doing that, will delete  those configurations from device?

Please correct if I am wrong, when we provision the device DNAC will only push changes that were made not full config ?

Will that impact any existing changes?

Hi

  " provisioned and managed" device only means that you are done with that device and all is ok for now. But, if you want to change something, you need  apply a new tamplate and provision again. That´s how things works.

There are two way to change device configuration.  By using template, which is very similar to access the device using CLI, the different is that the DNAC will do this for you and apply those commnad that you put on the tamplate. This can be done for one device or all device and you´ll be changing only the configuration you added on the template.

You can also go to "Provision"> "Fabric">Device

There you can change configuration in one device at a time. In your case, as you want to delete VNs, it may be better do this way.

 On the device, go to "Host Onboarding" and "Virtual Networks".  You are  going to see your VNs. You can delete or add or change and this will happen to only this device.

Thats very weird DNAC. Supposedly, DNAC should delete any configure without putting any extra efforts. After all, this is what DNAC built for.

Anyways, could you please tell me how to delete the IP pools and VLAN configuration from Edge devices

Within Fabric > Device > Host onboarding, I can delete only VNs it won’t remove VLAN configuration from edge devices
