Hi All
I need to move some switches into the new fabric zone. To my knowledge, the only way to do this is to remove the devices from inventory and re-add them via the discovery procedure using the switch's IP address.
I've tried to use the "Assign to site" option but got a warning "One or more devices are already assigned to their selected site(s) or Unassigned. Please select a different site or unassign the device(s) to proceed. Error in devices:"
DNA version is 2.3.7
Question here is:
1) does anyone knows the better way to move the switches from one zone/site to another
2) during the discovery procedure, which options should I choose (add a new device or add the existing device)? and do I need to fill the NetConf port field?

To my knowledge, the only way to do this is to remove the devices from inventory and re-add them via the discovery procedure using the switch's IP address.
that is advised step always for better approach, also check any switch name conflicts - based on your naming convention.

gDay @John.Mayer will use some bullepoints to be more clear. In Cisco DNA Center (2.3.7), you don’t need to delete and re-discover switches just to move them into a different fabric site/zone. Because the discovery process is mainly for onboarding new devices. For already onboarded switches, the supported way is:
Onboard into Fabric Once the switch is in the correct site, go to Provision - Fabric. And then add the device as a fabric edge node/border/whatever role is needed.
so long story short: don’t rediscove, just unassign - reassign - provision into fabric.

"If you get the error you mentioned, it usually means the device is already tied to another site or unassigned incorrectly. In that case, first unassign it from the current site, then reassign it."
i guess there must be "unassign it from the current zone"
Navigate to the Fabric site in the Catalyst Center UI.
Go to the Fabric Zones section.
Select the Fabric Zone where the switch is currently located.
Within the selected zone's details, find the switch you want to move.
Click the unassign or remove option next to the switch to detach it from the current Fabric Zone.

thanks @Andrii Oliinyk @Enes Simnica @balaji.bandi
I think I need to check removing the switch from the fabric process. In the meantime, I tried to rediscover it using ‘discover existing switch’, but it didn’t work because the border lost its configuration on a specific interface. So I deleted it completely and reran the Lan-Automation. I made a clean new installation and added it to the desired fabric. It was easy and cosy. will update you next week

Sure as long as you have maintenance window, not services causing, removing and adding is good fresh install like.
