Hi ,

In the site Cisco Software-Defined Access Compatibility Matrix is supported device like :
Cisco 3504, 5520, and 8540 Series Wireless Controllers
Cisco Catalyst 9800 Embedded Wireless on C9300, C9400, C9500 Series Switches
Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers

According to the cisco site the  Virtual Wireless Controller are not supported in Cisco DNA Center

Confirming:

The AireOS Virtual WLC is not supported with Cisco DNA Center.
The Catalyst 9800 Virtual WLC IS supported with Cisco DNA Center.
