SD-ACCESS over VSAT links

Hi all,

I found out that there is a limit of 200ms of RTT from DNAC to Edge. So, in the case of a branch where that I have a satellite hop, like a VSAT, it is not possible to configure SD-ACCESS for the LAN? I was thinking of using SD-WAN as transit, but the delay is stopper. Any way to solve it or should I go with traditional LAN approach?

Thanks!

Hi,

Correction, it's actually 100msec RTT between DNAC and Fabric nodes and it recommended to be with those limits for smoother device administration.. Latency beyond 200ms RTT is not recommended at all.. This is agnostic of Transit type..

Hope this helps..

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the answer. So there is no way to use SD-ACCESS through VSAT links? Any plans to support more delay in the connections?

Thanks,

Nacho.

Hi Nacho,

No Committed plans as of now.. So would recommend to be within those limits..

Regards

Mahesh
