Hello,

Is their any option to deploy SD-Access solution as traditional layer 2 without fabric or underlay.

If yes, does the DNA-Center will fit in the solution and what are the benefit and feature that i can get from e.g (Discovering devices, provision basic configuration , assurance features etc )

thanks

Amo2019,

The Cisco SD-Access fabric solution is comprised of 2 parts in the network layer: Layer 3 Routed Access (Underlay) for transport and LISP-Based Control Plane with VxLAN encapsulation Data Plane (Overlay) for services (Mobility, Macro-Segmentation, Micro-Segmentation). You cannot have SD-Access without those components. We do not support a Layer 2 Underlay.

Hi,

you can use DNAc with existing networks. It will add Service Assurance, help with software upgrade, path trace, etc.

So, no need to get all the way to SDA.
