Below is copying from a Windows server.

Check the permissions on the Shared folder, give everybody Change or Full control. On the NTFS permissions give Anonymous Logon Modifiy.

Check the permissions of the .lic file make sure that has not inhertied permissions from the folder it's in.

You might need to change that.

Cheers.

Hi,

Its not the wi2k3 file system privs as I can tftp the lic file to volatile memory but not to bootflash

cant copy the file from voatile to bootflash either

copy volatile:MDS20090803081953790.lic bootflash:lic.lic

/bin/copy: cannot create regular file `/bootflash/lic.lic': Read-only file system

What about trying to Debug what is going on when you are trying to copy the file.

From the CLI run "debug system health bootflash" and then "no debug system health bootflash" when you are finished. That should tell you what is going on.

Hi,

I just get the followig logs, nothing specific about copying the file.

Hi,

Are you able to save the running config to startup config? In the 9216's the flash memory went into read only and the only way to fix it was with a reboot. Bug CSCeg75552.

You have checked there is enough space to copy the file to?
