Hi All
I've had a google but I can't find the answer to this....
I normally use device-aliases which map a friendly name to one wwpn.
Is it possible for the device-alias to contain MORE THAN ONE wwpn? for example
FabricA/zone A_1
->server_hbaA
->storage_port_group_1
where server_hbaA maps to a single WWPN for the server's HBA
and storage_port_group_1 maps to a list of WWPN that represent a number of ports on a storage array.
The zone only contains 2 aliases but one of the aliases is multiple-wwpn. Gives us a single initiator->multi target zone.
I haven't got access to an MDS at the moment to test on. You can do this on Brocade so I would like to know if it's the on cisco nx-os.
Thanks All

Hello Wertert
Best way to do Single initiator and Multi Target mapping is to follow smart zoning concepts, this way you can reduce zone count over the fabric. Any type of zoning can be created with wwn's/device-alias/fc-alias.. where as there is only one device-alias poer wwns, vice versa
