can't login to MDS 9500 director using Device manager

Hi all,

I have some Cisco MDS 9513 directors.

When I tried to login each one of them using Device manager with a SNMP V3 user I got "autorizationError" error, but when I tried to use the same user to login using Telnet/SSH to the director, the login was successful.

Any suggestions how to solve this problem?

Is this the first time you are trying to authenticate through SNMP?. Can you also check local Event log and see if any specific error, related to Service and/or Firewall. If you are confident that SNMP is configured that way it should be, then I would suggest to try from a different workstation and see if you can autenticate.

Trying configuring snmp user same as admin, i.e. snmp user admin, it should work.

the snmp and cli login works using same username password only if the passwords are synced up. login via command line and create one user, if this user is able to login via DM then you just need to sync up password .
