Hi - This may be an easy one. I've just installed a pair of Cisco MDS 9148S fabric. I can managed them via putty, however while trying to manage them via Cisco Device manager, it doesn;t accept the admin password. Is there a configuration I am missing?

Hi,
There are two userid/password combinations in an MDS switch.
userid/password
snmp-server userid/password
If you can telnet/ssh into the switch, then you have the correct userid/password combination.
However, DCNM and DM use SNMP. So they user the snmp-server userid/password combination.
You may need to update this password on the switch and try again.
Best regards,
Jim
