Cisco MDS 9184S Configuration Issue

Hello everyone, I am a newbie at SAN and SAN Networking, I have a Cisco 9148s and IBM Storwize V7000G2+, I try to config cisco 9148S to connect from my HBA Initiator to Target, but after config, nothing happened, my IBM Storage appear port still "Offline"

- First, my sw 9148s have assign license acquire for ports

- Second, I created the two-zone and assigned port of HBA and Target (separated 2 candidates)

- Third, I created new zoneset and assign two-zone created above and active zoneset
May I miss something?

update 1: Here is my zone config (generate from quick configuration of Device Manager)

Solved ! That problem cause the nxos of my MDS 9184S, after upgrade to 8.4.2 firmware, it's working fine !

If the ports on the switch is all in shutdown you need to up them.

 

Do a:

HEH-MDS-MS1-FAB1# show interface fc1/1
fc1/1 is down (Link failure or not-connected)

To see the status the above i active but not working the below:

HEH-MDS-MS1-FAB1# show interface fc1/2
fc1/2 is down (Administratively down)

Is not working and is not activated in the configuration.

Try this to activate the port:

conf terminal
interface fc1/2
no shut
end
exit

actually, i had enabled them, all port are noshut and on state

Hi

 

Could you send information from the SVC og IBM storage:

lsportfc

From the cisco switch could you send information about the port that is Connected to the storage:

show interface fc?/?

 Just to be sure it sees any information from the connect device.

Ok so this is the active ports in the switch:

Look at the number from the SVC:

370800

370600

 

Seen from switch:

fc1/1 is up
...    Port mode is F, FCID is 0x370800
fc1/3 is up
    Port mode is F, FCID is 0x370600

 

So all say the fiber is working seen from at SVC and cisco point of view.

And the zoneset is activated?
