Is there anybody out there with experience in connecting web servers, in a secure way, with an hba to the internal SAN?

What are you looking for? Dual HBAs per server for redundancy? What type of storage array are you using? Are you using Cisco MDS devices?

There things to look at (e.g., multi-pathing software, volumen management, etc) which are dependent on the arrays. If you get a chance pls provide us with more information.

Thank you,

I am a bit surprised that no more information was provided by the original poster. I bet he was concerned about WWN spoofing which is widely mentioned in some circles. Considering the standard security available with SAN-OS and the added security with the enterprise licence, would anyone really have to worry about spoofing and just how easy is it to do?

Howdy,

not with dh-chap :-) ... Most (if not all) hba's should support it these days..
