MDS to Nexus - Nexus not seeing WWNs from MDS

Hello Community,

I tried to describe my issue through the title of this discussion. I have a problem in regards to the connection between the MDS Switches and Nexus Switches at a Customers Data Center. So far we have configured our Ports in this way:

1) Nexus is in NPV Mode, port to MDS is in NP Mode, Trunking is off

2) MDS is in its Default Mode(IDK what it's called, sorry), I have zones configured in it, and the port  to the Nexus Switch is configured as an F port, with trunking off.

Normally in this case the Nexus Switch should get the WWNs from all the Hosts and Storages "advertised" through it's NP port, but it's seeing none of them. Here is the show interface command:

MDS:

Hardware is Fibre Channel, SFP is short wave laser w/o OFC (SN)

    Port WWN is 20:02:00:3a:9c:ca:44:e0

Admin port mode is F, trunk mode is off

snmp link state traps are enabled

Port mode is F, FCID is 0x720000

    Port vsan is 400

    Admin Speed is auto

    Operating Speed is 8 Gbps

    Rate mode is dedicated

    Port flow-control is R_RDY

    Transmit B2B Credit is 16

    Receive B2B Credit is 64

    B2B State Change: Admin(on), Oper(down)

Receive data field Size is 2112

    Beacon is turned off

    Logical type is edge

    5 minutes input rate 0 bits/sec,0 bytes/sec, 0 frames/sec

    5 minutes output rate 0 bits/sec,0 bytes/sec, 0 frames/sec

      60 frames input,4792 bytes

        0 discards,0 errors

        0 invalid CRC/FCS,0 unknown class

        0 too long,0 too short

      100 frames output,14112 bytes

        0 discards,0 errors

      0 input OLS,0  LRR,1 NOS,0 loop inits

      9 output OLS,6 LRR, 2 NOS, 0 loop inits

    64 receive B2B credit remaining

    16 transmit B2B credit remaining

16 low priority transmit B2B credit remaining

On the MDS Side, I can see the pWWN of the Nexus Switch, but the Nexus Switch isn't even seeing the MDS. Do you guys have had any experience like this and how can I solve it?

Best,

Is NPIV enabled on MDS?

switch(config)# npiv enable

Kirk...

I enabled the feature through: feature npiv

I will check for the npiv enable command, if that is necessary too and I'll reply if that solved the problem.

ok so this is the output:
