can someone tell me if the attached diagram is supported?  i am having issues getting the fc connection funtioning from the host hba to the brocade fabric.

Hi,

AFAIK that configuration is not supported. Even if it were technically feasible, no storage vendor would support that architecture.

I do not think you can have cascaded NPV switches connected to a NPIV switch. Again I would have to defer

Connectivity from an FCoE NPV bridge to the FCF is supported only over point-to-point links."

Nested NPV not supported. Even with UCS FI, we always want NPV - NPIV to work point to point and have the FI's directly connected to the SAN switch and provide flogi/DCID services.
