SAN Zoning on Nexus 2000?

Hello

A question regarding SAN Zoning.

When I connect a Nexus2k to a Nexus7k

where the N2K is a model with FCoE support,

Do I have SAN zoning support on that N2K's user ports?

If so, would I indeed configure the SAN zoning on the N7K?

Thanks

Fred

Hi Fred

I hope you will do pwwn based zoning, not port based zoning !

Zoning is done on the N7k, N2k is just a multiplexer without any FC services, like flogi server.

Yes, All the config (not just zone) must go on N7K. You have multiple options for zone members. Check http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/nx-os/san_switching/configuration_guide/b_Cisco_Nexus_7000_NX-OS_SAN_Switching_Configuration_Guide/b_Cisco_Nexus_7000_NX-OS_SAN_Switching_Configuration_Guide_chapter_01001.html
