I have default configuration on this port:

!

interface fc2 enable

interface fc2 ms-enable enable

no interface fc2 al-fairness enable

interface fc2 fan-enable enable

interface fc2 ext-credit 0

interface fc2 mfs-bundle enable timeout 10

Your message is from port FC-4, looks like your T3 is on port FC-2.

Is the T3 Fabric capable? you may need to configure interface FC-2 for fixed speed and fixed mode.

Use this set of commands below to select mode setting and linkspeed

int fc2 ?

al-fairness - Loop priority algorithm

default - Reset defaults on Fibre Channel interface

diag - Enable Fibre Channel diagnostics

enable - Enable Fibre Channel interface

ext-credit - Extend Credit

fan-enable - Fabric Address Notification (FAN)

linkspeed - Transfer rate on Fibre Channel interface

loopback - Initiate various loopback tests

mfs-bundle - Multi-Frame sequence (MFS) bundling

ms-enable - In Band Management

reset - Reset the interface

rscn - Fibre Channel Registered State Change Notification

type - Port type

Just a moment? What do you mean? In log all events from FC2 and FC3 interfaces are written "%FC-4-" and "%FC-5-". And SFP modules are intalled only in FC2 and FC3.

From log:

Dec 04 10:09:28: %FC-4-TopologyOperChange: TopologyOperChange;108;0;0;0

Dec 04 10:09:28: %FC-5-PortStateChange: PortStateChange;109;0;0;2;Online

Dec 04 10:09:33: %FC-5-PortOperChange: PortOperChange;110;0;0;2

Dec 04 10:09:46: %FC-5-PortOperChange: PortOperChange;111;0;0;3

Dec 04 10:10:02: %FC-5-PortOperChange: PortOperChange;112;0;0;3

Dec 04 10:10:17: %FC-5-PortOperChange: PortOperChange;113;0;0;3

Dec 04 10:10:55: %FC-4-TopologyOperChange: TopologyOperChange;114;0;0;0

Dec 04 10:10:56: %FC-5-PortStateChange: PortStateChange;115;0;0;2;Offline

Dec 04 10:11:01: %FC-5-PortOperChange: PortOperChange;116;0;0;2

Dec 04 10:11:22: %FC-5-PortOperChange: PortOperChange;117;0;0;2

????

I changed linkspeed to "1gb" - result negative.

I will try to change another default settings.

Ah.... your right 4 & 5 are the level of the message, there is 0-7 The port mode is changed via the Type setting. Has this array been plugged into a Fabric switch prior, or was it direct attached to a HBA?

We used Fabric hub prior.
