What is the follow-on to CIMSERVER in MDS NX/OS post 5.2.6a

I have a customer who wants to run a 3rd party SAN management application (Tivoli Storage productivity Center - aka TPC) to manage n MDS9500 environment. The integration guide says that it uses the CIMSERVER feature.

I see where post v5.2.6a, CIMSERVER is no longer supported. I cannot determine what the follow-on feature is because all that is referenced is DCNM's requirements.

Does anyone have any information I can use?

Hi,

The CIM server was moved from the switch to DCNM-SAN.  IBM is familiar with this.

Now that cimserver function has moved out of the switches does it require a license to be able to use?

Hi,

I just purchased 2-9148 with the DCNM-SAN advance license was able to setup the services on a DCNM Virtual server with out any issues. It has been working for me.. From my understanding I believe it is include with the license.
