Assigning port VLAN membership SMB GUI

conor0007

Hello,

I am having difficulty assigning VLANs to a port in the Small Business GUI.

As you can see below, I have created VLAN 124.

I then want to assign VLANs to a trunk on port 36, but I am not given the option.

Can someone explain how to allow certain VLANs on a trunk? How do I get VLANs to appear in the "Select VLAN"? Box?

Thanks

-Conor

Hello,

This appears to be either a browser issue or a firmware issue or both.

According to the screenshots, you should have Vlans populating the Join VLAN menu.

Try using IE with Compatibility View Enabled and see if it works.

Also, check your firmware, here is a link to the download page:

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=283771828&softwareid=282463182&release=1.1.2.0

If you are not on the latest go ahead and update, please remember that if you are not running boot code 1.3.5 then you will have to upgrade the boot code also.

Please let us know if this helped.

Hello,

Previously I was using a Macbook with the Chrome browser. I am now using a PC with internet explorer in compatibility mode and I can now see the VLANs.

Since internet explorer now no longer runs on Macbook, there is no way to access this GUI on up to date Macbooks.

Thanks for solving my issue.

Hello,

Thank you for letting us the issue is resolved.

I believe you will be able to see it on MAC using maybe firefox.
