Cant upgrade firware

Hi I'm currently running a Cisco SG300-28 28 port Gigabit Managed switch, when I try to upgrade the firmware it gives an error: copy:SW code file is over sized.

Can anybody assist?

what version are you coming from too ? unlike catalyst there are jump versions on these platforms that you need to go to first before going to direct to some images , you could try another earlier image first and work your way up to the newer one if its jumping through multiple images

Currently running 1.3.7.18. I cannot update to a more recent image as no matter what "interim" image I select I always get the over-sized error

I have encountered the same problem now, and my current version wants to upgrade to 1.4.0.88 1.4.1.03 or the updated version will have an error message

You need to upgrade the boot code also. The latest boot code is  1.3.5.06.
