CBS 350 Problem Combo port Fiber

Hello everyone,

Currently I have a problem with the use of the SFP ports in my configuration on the CBS350.
I am not able to use the two fibre ports at the same time in the SFP ports.
The first one is recognized as fiber but the second one is recognized as copper.
No link to the CAT9500, here are the logs of my SFP plug.

When i plug SFP i see the correct message :

switch26d5cb#12-Aug-2021 03:03:23 %NSFP-I-SFPGibicRemoved: te1 SFP port is not present
12-Aug-2021 03:03:26 %NSFP-I-SFPGibicDetected: te1 SFP port is present, module type - 10G BASE-LR
12-Aug-2021 03:03:31 %NSFP-I-SFPGibicRemoved: te2 SFP port is not present
12-Aug-2021 03:03:35 %NSFP-I-SFPGibicDetected: te2 SFP port is present, module type - 10G BASE-LR

Have you ever encountered this problem?

Best regards teams.

log says, you removed and plugged both SFPs. and SFPs are LR10G. is other side of switches using 10G LR SFPs? what are the SFP models connected to other end switches

Hello,

I made this to show you the type of SFP used on the CBS350 and on the Catalyst 9500.
The problem is that port 9 or 10 depending on the switch doesn't take into account the SFP, and during an interface show I see that it is in Copper combo and not Fiber.

Is there a command to force the media type on the small bussiness?  I need to have two uplinks minimum

Thanks teams

hi Benoit,

there is not much you can force on CBS350 but it is important which firmware version you are testing

I don't understand why every other port works with gbic.
When I disconnect and reconnect it sees the SFP type 10G BASE-LR.

Hello,

i use this software for my CBS : image_cbs350_ros_3.2.0.84_release_cisco_signed

It's weird, because I put the SFP+ on the first port it is recognized as 10G BASE-LR but no link.
When I take the same SFP and put it on the second port, it works fine.

 Thx for yoiur help
