Hi guys.
Recently I start having an issue with my Cisco SG-500-28 Switch.
Issue: Clients randomly loses connection, you can’t login into the web interface or ssh. All led lights shows activity and appear as it’s working normally.
The switch is in L3 mode with dhcp with multiple vlans.
Model: Cisco SG-500-28
The issue resolve after once or twice power cycle.
Any ideas would be helpful.

Hi
I´d like to see the CPU during the problem. Sounds to me like CPU spike. But, I´d upgrade it before anything.

Thanks for your response.
I see this in the flash memory,

did you check this?
Interface vlan 1 does not exist or has no IP address., aggregated (5)
05-18-2022 05:17 AM
Would that be an issue?

Yes, it can be a problem.
Try to set static IP address for VLAN 1.

Ok, I set a static ip, I'll monitor the switch to see if the issue continues.

- Configure and or use a syslog server on the device , follow up on message reported on the syslog server, look for networking trouble or other.

I did setup a syslog server on my laptop using Kiwi Syslog. This issue re-occur, but I guess my configs didn’t capture it. I set the reporting to “debug” from the switch and just add the IP address to kiwi.

ghansham,
First, before troubleshooting the SMB/CBS switches, ensure you're running the latest software release.
Few pinpoints here.
The suggestions from other participants here are relevant, setting up the Syslog Server and looking into the CPU Spikes are amongst the first things you have to observe. You will need also to explain a bit more about the topology i.e. how many and what type of end devices are connected, what other switches and what interconnections are between, use of LAG, STP, etc. Are affected devices from VLAN1?
Once making those clear we could advise on what would be the next steps.
Thanks
