DHCP Auto Configuration with Multiple Models

Hi there,

I'm attempting to configure our DHCP server to auto configure our switches. We have a mix of the SG300-series switches: Some SG300-10PP, an SG300-28P and many SG300-10P models.

  1. How can I automatically configure these switches (which require configuration files that match their model type), if there is just one DHCP Server Option (Option 150, as I understand it)?
  2. Also, if I wanted to configure one half of the SG300-10P models with one configuration, and the other half with a different configuration, would this be possible? We auto-configure other network devices using TFTP servers, and individual devices (or groups of them) can be targeted based on their MAC address, but I do not see anything like that in the administration guide.

A support technician shared the attached document with me regarding configuring multiple models in one DHCP topology, but it doesn't appear to apply in any way.

Any guidance or similar experience here would be very helpful.

Many thanks!

John
