Hi i am encountering an error on a Cisco CBS350 switch, the error message says: '%DHCP-W-MAXALLOC: DHCP Server has reached the maximal number of allocated hosts. Attempting to free entries by aging property for IP 192.168.100.112.' I have checked the DHCP pool, and it doesn't seem to be out of IP addresses to assign to devices. So, why am I seeing this error?

Try any latest firmware available to see if that fixed the issue.

What % of IP addresses are available?

how long was the lease time ? try increasing more if this is Lan setup.

about 80% of IP address used, i setup realease time is 1 hour

That should be okay. You could try increasing the subnet or adding a new subnet and see if that resolves the issue.

Hey ,

please try below steps.

  1. Check DHCP Pool Configuration:

    • Verify the DHCP pool configuration to ensure it has enough IP addresses allocated. You can use the command show ip dhcp pool to check the current status.
  2. Increase DHCP Pool Size:

    • If the pool is exhausted, you may need to increase the size of the DHCP pool. This can be done by adjusting the subnet mask or adding additional IP ranges to the pool
