Hi! i read this. if I understand correctly, I need to assign an IP address (192.168.1.254)to my computer.

- No ,because that is the default-address used by the sg250 , your computer however must be able to reach addresses in that subnet

- As stated do not set your PC to that particular address ,it is the remote address by default used by the sg250
