I have a question about the SG100D switches series. My network is as following.
It starts with a Glasfiber modem --> Draytek Vigor modem. In the modem I have plugged in 3 Cisco SG100D switches, two of them with 5 ports and one of them with 8 ports.
One of the 5Port switches seems fine.
The second 5port switches seems not tho work on port number 5. I have connected two different laptops with different cables on this port, both don't work. When I plug those laptops in port 1 to 4 they work fine.
The 8 port Switches has two problems. Port number 2 has the same problem as described above. Port number 1 does not work with one type of cable. If i put this cable in other ports it works fine. If i put another cable in this port it also works fine.
Is there anything I can do to get those ports up and running ?
Kind regards,
Giel Toonders

My name Eric Moyers. I am an Engineer in the Small Business Support Center.
I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.
As I am sure that you know, these are unmanaged switches. there is really nothing that can be done to the switch. unless it is a cabling problem or issue with the device attached to the other end, it is most likely a bad port.
Depending on how long you have had these devices the best thing to do is call in and open a ticket and let one of our engineers make that determination.
