SG102-24 connectivity

I'm having problems with my network. We use a single SG102-24 Cisco switch with about 16 ports utilized. The entire network is wired with CAT6 cables. One computer was constantly unable to save files across the network to either of 2 Ready NAS hard drives without it timing out. The internet also times out on random pages. Once I moved the network cable to a different port on the switch, I am now able to save files to the NAS most of the time, but am still having timeout errors occassionally. When a switch fails, does it usually show these types of errors? It's less than 2 years old.

When hardware starts failing virtually anything is possible, such as MAC address table entries getting corrupted, and frames being sent to incorrect destinations. However, your issue may lie elsewhere. For example, since it's an unmanaged layer 2 switch, if you get excessive broadcast traffic, it will impact the ability for your devices to communicate. If you have access to a laptop/PC and wireshark, stick it on a spare port, then you can see what traffic is being broadcasted.

Also, is your entire network hanging off of the one switch? What's upstream of the switch, that routes between your network and the internet?
