sg300 PoE switch odd issue with static IP

Hi All,

Having a bit of an odd issue. It was working before with sg300 non PoE. Had to replace it with PoE 300 and for whatever reason it would not work with static mngmt IP of other devices. I have some APs that have IPs statically assigned. They would ping for a bit they would start timing out. If I make APs grab IPs out of dhcp pool they work without issues. Have anyone else experienced issue like that?

Hi,

Where is the DHCP server? Is it on the Switch or any other server? You have to enable Duplicate IP detection on the DHCP server. I am thinking that it is happening because your DHCP is assigning duplicate IP to any other device.
