Hi
I am looking at purchasing x2 Cisco SG550XG-24F switches (in a stack). I currently have 2 of them in 10Gb BASE-T and functionality wise work great for us.
I am trying to wrap my head SFP+ and the question I have is:
Will Twinax Cable (SFP-H10Gb-CU1M) work for SG550XG-24F switch connectivity (no separate transceivers)? I have read this guide which only states Twinax is compatible for stacking ports:
“The Cisco SFP+ Copper Cable modules for stacking that are supported in the Cisco 550X Series Stackable Managed Switches are: SFPH10GB-CU1M, SFP-H10GB-CU3M, and SFP-H10GB-CU5M.”
But looking at the Cisco SG500X Switch Accessories document:
The same cable appears to be compatible for stacking AND connectivity.
Am I right in thinking that a Cisco SFP Twinax Cable (Passive) should work in a Cisco SG550XG-24F SFP+ switch port no problem?
Is anyone else using this switch with Twinax?
Thanks 😊!
