Hi,
I have an SRW248G that every so often just hangs and a reboot fixes it. In the logs I get the following error message after the reboot:
%SYSLOG-F-OSFATAL: HOST_go: Not enough free memory for OS *****FATAL ERROR***** Reporting tast: ROOT. Software version 1.0.0.61 (date 19-Jan-2006 time 12:32:08) *****END OF FATAL ERROR*****
Has anyone seen this before and if so is it a software upgrade to fix it or is it an RMA?
Thanks,
Hugo.

Dear Hugo,
Thank you for reaching Small Business Support Community.
This memory error seems to be hardware related, I anyway suggest you to upgrade the firmware release to latest version 1.2.3.0;
http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=282414077&softwareid=282463181&release=1.2.3.0
You can then restore to factory conditions, configure the router back and then monitor it so if the problem persists I would then suggest you to contact the Small Business Support Center;
https://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/tsd_cisco_small_business_support_center_contacts.html
I am sorry I cannot give you a better suggestion but based on this syslog output I see no way around to determine the cause of the problem. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with in the meantime.
Kind regards,

Hi Jeff,
just to let you know that the switch never came back after the upgrade so it look's like it was a hardware issue.
Thanks for your assistance.
Cheers,
Hugo.
