Hi ,
It's a very strange problem, i don't even know how to explain it.
I have a 2951 router between our company and a customer. every two to three days i keep phasing the same issue . the router will stop forwarding traffic . physically there is nothing wrong with it.
when the traffic is not going you can ping ssh without any problem , nothing on the syslog server.
I've checked ARP, MAC address for anything , but no luck.
The only thing i can do is to reload the router .
Cisco 2951 : c2951-universalk9-mz.SPA.152-1.T2.bin
Thanks,
Khaled

When the issue occurs and you are able to SSH to the router, what does the routing table show?
#show ip route

This is why I said it's a strange problem.
The routing table was fine all time, I've checked it.
routing --> fine
mac-add-table--> fine
arp--> fine

I guess it could be a bug, have you tried updating the IOS?
