Hi All,

Trying to verfy CEF on the above specific platform, using "show int stats" (as per below excerpt):

Vlan200

          Switching path    Pkts In   Chars In   Pkts Out  Chars Out

               Processor     862191   74833000     821908  201680252

             Route cache       1115     331791          0          0

                   Total     863306   75164791     821908  201680252

Interface FastEthernet0 is disabled

GigabitEthernet1/0/1

          Switching path    Pkts In   Chars In   Pkts Out  Chars Out

               Processor          0          0     285623   25173566

             Route cache          0          0          0          0

                   Total          0          0     285623   25173566

As I understand it this platform implements Centralised CEF. As it seems there isn't a way to verfiy this on the physical interfaces (as per above), ie: Route Cache packets only display under the SVI's and nothing under the physicals, does this mean that CEF is not enabled under physicals ??

Also using "show ip int" backs this up also, int that CEF does not seem to be verifiable under the physical ??

GigabitEthernet1/0/1 is up, line protocol is up

  Inbound  access list is not set

m-esc-vic-melbourne-sw01#sh ip int vlan 200

Vlan200 is up, line protocol is up

  IP CEF switching is enabled

  IP route-cache flags are Fast, CEF

TAC have requested that we use "show platform" variants but I cannot see an explicit CEF enabled or other.

eg:

sh platform ip unicast cef-idb

m-esc-vic-melbourne-sw01#sh platform ip unicast cef-idb

==============================================================

      Int SIf#   Vl  Flg IPE  FRt  HRt  HwidbEn Fec HIf# Turbo

==============================================================

     Vl1  741    1 26000   0   11   11   60C990   0  741 0x19643F8

Gi1/0/1    1  200 26000   0   11   11   60C990   0    1 0x19643F8

Does anyone have a clear understanding as to how to read this output ?

Thanks in advance.
