We have 4+ 2960X-24TS-L switches that we are trying to load IOS version 15.0.2a-EX5 on to. We can load the software without issue using TFTP, but when the switches boot, they all hang at the same point (see below).
We've been doing this process for years on these switches without any issues. To me, this seems to indicate that something has changed with the hardware but according to our records, the we've been receiving hardware version V05 since 2017.
Any thoughts on what could have caused this IOS version to no longer work?
We've tried the latest (15.2.7E5), as well as a few others, and they all work. It would take a lot of validation on our end to approve a different version, so we would like to avoid that if possible. We would also just like to understand this issue so we can try to avoid/anticipate it in the future.
