2960X - Stack Member Removed Syslog ony - no snmp trap sent

Dear All,

our 2960X Switches (15.2(2)E9) only send syslogs in case a stack member gets lost but no SNMP traps as a deep dive into the tcpdump flows has revealed.

Is there a way to change this behavior and to make sure Catalyst 2960X and 2960S Switches will send SNMP traps for the event of a stack member getting lost (CEFC RFU REMOVED) ?

The Catalyst Switch is configured for sending this kind of SNMP traps to Cisco Prime but still will only send this information out as as syslog:

snmp-server enable traps fru-ctrl

snmp-server enable traps stackwise

snmp-server host <Cisco Prime Server IP> version 2c <community> mac-notification

Thanks for your help.

You can try below one :

snmp-server enable traps stackwise member-removed

Hi

Thanks but does snmp-server enable traps stackwise  not include member-removed ? As far as I understand if I add "member-removed" I will only get alerts for member-removed and no other stackwise events.

Thanks.

T.
